Great Falls Mr. James Osborne Howe, Jr., 81, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at his home.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Mt. Dearborn United Methodist Church with Rev. David Ussery, Rev. Curtis Cameron and Rev. James Lowery officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Thursday, April 23, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mr. Howe was born August 1, 1933 in Great Falls, SC and was a son of the late James Osborne Howe, Sr. and Jamison Carter Howe.He was a graduate of Great Falls High School and the University of South Carolina.Mr. Howe was a retired Lt. Colonel with the U.S. Air Force having served during Vietnam and was retired as Vice President of Operations from A.C. Nielsen in Omaha, Nebraska. He is survived by two sons, James O. “Jamey” Howe, III (Alison) of Great Falls, SC and David K. Howe (Sarah) of Vencenza, Italy; four grandchildren, Elizabeth J. Howe of Columbia, SC, Michael B. Howe of Great Falls, SC, Hayley K. Howe of Tallahassee, Fl., and Hunter J. Howe of Vencenza, Italy; a brother-in-law, Haskell M. Kirkpatrick (Gwen) of Dallas, TX.; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Muller (Herbert) of Cedar Park, TX.Mr. Howe was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kirkpatrick Howe. Memorials may be made to Mt.
