Great Falls Mr. James Arthur McFarland, Jr., 93, died Thursday, October 26, 2017, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Second Baptist Church with Dr. Zack Williams officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 28, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mr. McFarland was born January 31, 1924 in Great Falls, SC and was a son of the late James Arthor McFarland, Sr. and Rosa Baker McFarland.He attended the schools of Spartanburg County, SC and was formerly employed at J.P. Stevens and Springs Industries.Mr. McFarland was a member of Second Baptist Church. He is survived by one niece, Kathy Ruff (Skipper) of Great Falls; four nephews, Keith E. McFarland (Lynda), Randall M. McFarland (Cindi), Gerald L. McFarland all of Great Falls and Steven B. McFarland (Pam) of Jacksonville, Florida; and a sister-in-law, Alice McFarland of Great Falls.Mr. McFarland was preceded in death by a brother, Jack E. McFarland. .
