James Earle Weaver

James Earle Weaver, 77, died Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at MUSC Lancaster Medical Center.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Johnson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, March 15, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.

James was born October 12, 1947 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Johnny Gaston Weaver, Sr. and Aggidell Grant Weaver.  He was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Bowater Paper Plant.  Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.  He also loved singing karaoke.  Jimmy was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Joyce Johnson Weaver; one daughter, Stephanie Love (Todd) of Lancaster; 1 step-daughter, Tanya Terry (William ) of Fort Lawn; one step-son, Charles Crosby (fiancé, Denise) of Fort Lawn; three grandsons, Tripp Totherow, III, Chase Crosby and Tyler Love; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Weaver, Jr. and Bobby Weaver; and two sisters, Dorothy Weaver and Rosie Austin.
