Richburg Mr. Jamey Oliver Shepherd, 52, passed away at his home.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Union ARP Church in Richburg with Rev. Watson Gunderson officiating.The family will receive friends following the service on Wednesday in the fellowship hall of the church.Burial will be private. Mr. Shepherd was born on August 21, 1964 in Chester County, SC and was a son of the late Harry Wriston Shepherd and Adeline Oliver Shepherd.He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Winthrop University in 1990 and his Master’s in Mass Communication from University of South Carolina in 1996.He worked for the Chester News and Reporter and the Lancaster News.Mr. Shepherd loved photography, playing the guitar, cooking, watching old movies and his chocolate lab, Scout.He was a member of Union ARP Church. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Nancy Bailey (Gene) of Richburg, Lucy Price (Bobby) of Chester, Jenny Shepherd (Mark) of Tampa, Florida, Harry Shepherd of Fort Lawn, Ronny Shepherd (Denise) of Edgemoor, Patti Ernandez (Alan) of Fort Lawn, Gary K. Shepherd (Tammy) of Richburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew, Chris Price.
