Great Falls Mrs. Janice Gattis Self, 55, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at her home.The family will hold a private memorial service and interment. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Self was born June 16, 1957 in Winnsboro, SC and was a daughter of the late James Thomas Gattis and Eva Jane Hancock Gattis.She attended the schools of Winnsboro, was formerly employed as a certified nursing assistant, and a member of Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church in Winnsboro.Mrs. Self was a loving grandmother and a faithful servant of the Lord. She is survived by her husband of eighteen years, William F. “Buddy” Self; one daughter, Krystel Martin and husband Jonathan of Lexington, SC; one granddaughter, Karlee Martin; three brothers, Harold Gattis of Savannah, Danny Gattis of Winnsboro, and Albert Gattis of Lebanon, Indiana; two sisters, Peggy Proctor of Denver, NC and Linda Sibley of Gray, Georgia.She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Gattis.
