Great Falls Mrs. Jeanette Revels McAteer, 80, died Monday, December 6, 2010 at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, SC.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Great Falls with Rev. Greg Batchelor andRev. Grover Johnson officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC and other times at the home of Debra Steen, 1426 S. Potter Rd., Lancaster, SC. Born in Lancaster Co. on August 20, 1930, Mrs. McAteer was a daughter of the late Thomas Leroy and Kate LLoyd Revels and the widow of Hayward B. McAteer.She graduated from Great Falls High School, was a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church.She was also a member of Great Falls Eastern Star Chapter 211. She is survived by one son, H. Boyd McAteer and wife, Diane of Monroe, NC; four daughters, PauletteMcAteer of Chester, SC, Suzette Spinks of Chester, SC, Karen Cherry of Charlotte, NC, and Debra Steen and husband Allen of Lancaster, SC; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren;and three great-great grandchildren.
