Mr. Jerry Levane Rape, Sr, 74, of 15445 US Highway 21 North, Great Falls died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC. The funeral will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Great Falls with Reverend Ron Gregory, Reverend Greg Batchelor and Reverend Jim Spencer officiating.Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Born August 16, 1934 in Great Falls, SC, Mr. Rape was a son of the late John W. and Pearl Hamrick Rape.He attended the schools of Great Falls and was a US Army Veteran during the Korean War.He was owner and operator of Jerry’s Body Shop and a member of Lake Wateree Baptist Church and Great Falls Masonic Lodge #277. He is survived by his wife, Sara Yarborough Rape; three sons, Levane Rape, David Rape and his wife Pam, and Donald Rape and his wife Patty all of Great Falls; two grandchildren, Luke and Hailee Rape both of Great Falls; one brother, Melvin Rape of Great Falls and one sister, Geraldine Thomas of Great Falls.He was preceded in death by a brother Frank Rape. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Avenue, Great Falls.
