Fort Lawn, SC Ms. Jewel Dorthey Jessee, 71, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 30 ,2019 atMt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. J.D. Wilson officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, November 30,2019 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Ms. Jessee was born August 10, 1948 in Blackwater, VA and was a daughter of the late Vennell Jessee and Virdia Hall Jessee. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and completedcomputer programingat York Tech and was retired from F. Schumacher & Company as a supervisor. She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Hunter of Fort Lawn, SC; one son Jeff Hunter of Fort Lawn, SC; one step-son, Robert Lee Wertz (Jessica) of Great Falls, SC; seven grandchildren, Katerah Wynn,Brooke H. Black , Tamryn Chisholm, Breanna and Christian Hunter, Chandler and Leah Wertz; four great- grandchildren, Brandon, Kaiden, Kalani,and Grayson; two sisters Jerlene Roberts of Great Falls, SC, Linda Sue Clark of Dunn, Her significant other, Donnie Morgan of Great Falls, SC and her fur baby Dakota.
