John Fredrick Henson

Great Falls Mr. John Fredrick Henson, 76, died Sunday, January 27, 2019, at his home. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, January 28, 2019 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Mr. Henson was born June 24, 1942 in Great Falls, SC and was the son of the late Ernest Banks Henson and Mable Knight Henson. He was a graduate of Great Falls High School and retired from Fairfield Electric as Vice President of Operations. Mr. Henson was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.He was a member of Masonic Lodge #277, the Hejaz Shrine Temple and the Lions Club. He was a former member of Great Falls Town Council and the Voter Registration Board. He is survived by his wife of over 55 years JoAnn Wylie Henson; one daughter, Teresa Myus (David) of Holly, MI; one son Bryan Henson (Lisa) of Great Falls, SC; five grandchildren, Erica Henson (Eric Ferrell) of Great Falls, SC., Tyler Henson and Jonathan Henson of Great Falls, SC, Annika Nord of Holly, MI, and Cameron Powers-Henson of Great Falls, SC; one great-grandson Justin Cooper Ferrell of Great Falls, SC; one sister, Claudette Williams (Billy) of Great Falls, SC.;one brother, Tommy Henson (Ann) of Great Falls, SC; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Henson was preceded in death by one brother E.B. Henson.
