Mr. John Edward Lanoue, 84, died Friday, June 9, 2017, at Lancaster Convalescent Center.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, June 12, 2017, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Sean Stroud officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Monday, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC and other times at 832 Confederate Ave., Lancaster, SC. Mr. Lanoue was born May 22, 1933 in Orangeburg, SC and was a son of the late Jean B. Lanoue and Mamie Lou Betsill Lanoue.He was a graduate of Lancaster High School.Mr. Lanoue was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean war and also served in the South Carolina National Guard.He was retired from Springs Industries, was a gunsmith and a member of the Masons.Mr. Lanoue was a member of Catawba Baptist Church in Lancaster. He is survived by two sons, Donald E. Lanoue and wife, Rebecca of Fort Lawn and Allen Lanoue and girlfriend, Roxanne Furr, of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Dustin Lanoue of Heath Springs, Travis Nichols (Jamie) of Lancaster, Kimberly N. Tillman (Kevin) of Lancaster and Matt Brown of Fort Mill; and five great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J.Yarbrough Lanoue, a daughter, Darryl L.
