Great Falls Mr. John W. “Bill” Lucas, 83, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 24, 2017, at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Debbie Dyches and Rev. Chuck Evans officiating.The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Born May 18, 1933 in Flat Creek, SC, he was a son of the late Lossie Lucas and Ola Roberts Lucas.Mr. Lucas was twice married; firstto Lillie Humpries for 30 years who died in 1985 and then to Coleen Baker for 30 years who died in 2016.He attended Flat Creek schools and retired from Mineral Springs Textiles.Mr. Lucas attended Great Falls Church of God. He is survived by one daughter, Susan “Diane” Williams (Eddie) of Catawba, SC; two sons, Johnny Lucas of Great Falls, SC and Chuck Evans (Cindy) of Great Falls, SC; one brother, Marvin Lucas of Columbia, SC;one sister, Irene Plyler of Lancaster, SC; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by two brothers,Shorty and Eugene Lucas; and two sisters, Evelyn Milesand Reba Hance.
