Great Falls Mr. Johnny Marion “Buddy” McManus, 77, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Second Baptist Church with the ReverendsZack Williams,Jerald Starnes and Henry Adams officiating. The interment will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Dantzler – Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave, Great Falls. Born September 14, 1935 in Lancaster, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Heyward McManus and Meta Flowers McManus. Mr. McManus attended the schools of Lancaster County and served in the Navy during the Korean war. He was the manager of the Gate Station and retired after 35 years. Mr. McManus wasa member of Second Baptist Church and the Great Falls Masonic Lodge #277. He is survived by his wife Nancy McManus; two sons, Tony McManus and wife Leigh Ann of Rock Hill and Bubba McManus of Great Falls; three daughters, Ginger Steele and husband David of Lancaster, Tammy Salay and husband Richard of Rock Hill and Vicki Neely and husband Geoff of Rock Hill; thirteen grandchildren; Ten great grandchildren; a sister, Frances Christmas. He was preceded in death by a sister Kathleen King. Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
