Great Falls Mr. J. Ray Williams, 94, died Monday, May 18, 2020 at Lancaster Health and Rehab.A private family graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Mr. Williams was born July 5, 1925 in Lancaster County, SC and was a son of the late Jessie R. Williams and Myrtle Graham Williams.He was a graduate of Great Falls High School and University of South Carolina with a degree in pharmacy.Mr. Williams was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient.He was owner and operator of Carolina Pharmacy in Great Falls and a life-long member of Great Falls Presbyterian Church. He is survived by a niece, Lisa Loflin (Larry) of Great Falls and a nephew, Jeff Mendenhall (Beth) of Lake Wateree.He was preceded in death by a sister, Nell Mendenhall.
