Ms. Katherine Morton Varnadore Harper, 75, widow of Arthur Morgan Varnadore, died June 14, 2011 at her home.The funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford, NC.The interment will be at Spring Hill Cemetery in Wagram, NC.The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 12:00 Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home. Born August 30, 1935 in Wagram, NC, Ms. Harper was a daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle Shue Morton.She was a graduate of Wagram High School and was a homemaker.Ms. Harper was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Great Falls, SC. She is survived by one son, Arthur M. Varnadore, Jr of Great Falls; one daughter, Wanda Varnadore Branham and her husband Rex of Columbia, SC; one grandson, Justin Morgan Branham of Columbia, SC; four sisters, Mary “Jo” Holland and her husband Lindy of Wagram, Connie Whitt and her husband Lloyd of Wagram, Ruth Currie and her husband Bill of Raeford, NC and Lucille Capps of Rockingham, NC.She was preceded in death by a sister, Luella Walters and a brother, Willie Morton.
