Kathie Ann Wright Baker

Kathie Ann Wright Baker, 75, died Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Wayne T. Patrick House in Rock Hill.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Brad Vassey officiating.

Born January 1, 1949 in Lancaster, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Ellie Wright and Elsie Mae Hammond Wright.  Kathie was a graduate of Lancaster High School and retired from Bowater.  She was a member of Mitford Baptist Church.  Kathie loved quilting, cross-stitching and anything crafty.  She enjoyed video games.

She is survived by three daughters Betsy Coan (Fred) of Clover, Suzanne Baker (Tracy) of Heath Springs and Melanie Childers (Michael) of Winnsboro; one son, Roy S. Carter of Fort Lawn; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Kathie was preceded in death by her husband of over 45 years, Jimmy Neely Baker; two grandchildren, Matthew Autry and Brad Autry; daughter-in-law, Kesha Carter; and her sister, Barbara Wright Blakeley.
