Great Falls Mr. L. C. Harper, 84, died Thursday, June 08, 2017, at Chester Regional Nursing Center in Chester, SC.A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Zack Williams officiating.The family will receive friends following the service at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Born October 12, 1932 in Great Falls, SC, Mr. Harper was a son of the late William Jaffie “W. J.” Harper and Eura Elizabeth Manis Harper.He attended the schools of Great Falls and was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in the Korean War.Mr. Harper retired as a used car salesman. He is survived by two daughters, Susan H. Mincey of Lexington, SC and Debbie H. Penn of Winnsboro, SC; one step-daughter, Wanda O’Steen (Charlie) of Marston, NC; one step-son, Arthur Varnadore of Great Falls, SC; four grandchildren, Marvin Gibson (April) of Winnsboro, SC, Lacy Melvin (Wes) of Greer, SC, Justin Branham (Rachel) of Irmo, SC, and Nicholas Penn of Winnsboro, SC; six great grandchildren, Summer, Kandice, Alyssa, Xander, Cole, and Molly Kate; one sister, Margaret Wilson of Beggs, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
