Lawrence Taylor Cowper

Great Falls Mr. Lawrence Taylor Cowper, 94, died Friday, August 13, 2021, at his home.Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Mr. Cowper was born February 14, 1927, in Los Angeles, California, and was the son of the late Thomas Taylor Cowper and Ethelwyn Lawrence Cowper.He was a graduate of Campbell High School, Campbell, CA; San Jose State University, CA; and received his master's degree from the University of California, Berkeley.Mr. Cowper was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WWII in the Pacific.He was employed for more than 35 years as a foreign service officer with the U.S. Agency for International Development with postings to Nepal, Ethiopia, India, Sri Lanka, Burma, and Washington, DC. He is survived by his wife, Constance "Connie" Cowper; one son, Steven Cowper (Pamela) of Orrs Island, ME; two daughters, Sandra Cathcart (John) of Great Falls, SC and Diane Cowper of Gainesville, FL; four grandchildren: Sean, Nicole, Michael and Sarah; and six great-grandchildren, Anahi, Isabelle, Trent, Andrew, Ophelia, and Frank.
