Lee Ann Fudge Ussery

1964-2024

Lee Ann Ussery, 60, of Rock Hill, passed away peacefully on December 18th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones singing her favorite hymns.

Lee Ann was born on September 12th, 1964 to David and Linda Fudge. She spent her childhood playing outdoors with her sister and cousins.

Lee Ann never met a stranger. While her husband David’s ministry was through the pulpit, Lee Ann’s ministry was ground level. It was not unusual for her to come home and tell of the person she met at the grocery store that day or for her to share a random tidbit from a stranger. These conversations were her ministry, and she used these moments to witness to others and to share God's love. She cherished meaningful relationships. As a result, Lee Ann became "home" to many people. Ashley and Kayla's friends knew they always had a spot at Lee Ann’s dinner table and a place to stay. Lee Ann loved BIG. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. To be in the presence of Lee Ann was to be loved by Lee Ann.

Lee Ann was a collector. She collected trinkets and treasures, but her real collection was the stories she harbored by the people she loved. Her collection was her love of others. Lee Ann was deeply rooted in her faith and lived the example of “God is Love”. Her collected stories were her witness. The precious moments of God's never-ending faithfulness was the foundation in which she lived. While she sprinkled us with her collected adoration, Lee Ann was at peace knowing her true treasures awaited her in Heaven. For Lee Ann, it was never a goodbye but see you later.

LeeAnn is survived by her husband, David, of 41 years; her parents, David and Linda Fudge; sister, Tina Sease (Tim); daughters, Ashley Spurrier (Mark) and Kayla Niles (Travis); grandchildren, Sydney (Garrett), Tucker, Emberly, and Ledger; nephews, Chandler Sease (Abby) and Christian Sease (Ashley); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of LeeAnn’s life will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Mt. Dearborn Methodist Church, 12 Calhoun St., Great Falls, SC 29055. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor her memory.
