THIS OBITUARY IS BEING POSTED ON BEHALF OF JOHNSON-MOORE FUNERAL HOME AND THE SMITH FAMILY. Lewis Cecil Smith of Pottsboro, Texas passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 72. He was born on November 2, 1950, in Chester, South Carolina to Junius William and Connie (Lathan) Smith. Lewis married Jeneine on August 31, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He graduated high school from Great Falls, South Carolina. He had a great passion for fishing and NASCAR. He loved to play golf and in high school he was on the golf team where he won many tournaments. In his early years, he was a member of the armed forces in the Army and later in the Army reserves. He is survived by his wife Jeneine Smith of Pottsboro, Texas; son William Lewis Smith of Houston, Texas; son Dean Hensley of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; daughter Shelly McDaniel of Pottsboro, Texas; grandsons Dillon Smith of Dallas, Texas; Cody McDaniel of Durant, Oklahoma; Cason McDaniel of Houston, Texas.
