Linda Carol Hopkins Goings

Linda Carol Hopkins Goings, age 71, passed away peacefully Monday, May 25, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born March 6,1955, she was the daughter of the late Reece and Georgia Hopkins. Most knew her as the “little lady” that worked at the Flopeye Cafe for more than 15 years. She enjoyed waiting on her customers and making them laugh. She also loved feeding and watching the hummingbirds on her front porch.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Daryl Goings; one son, George Goings (Sundie) of Great Falls; a daughter, Joy Dixon(Robin) of Great Falls; nine grandchildren, Amanda (BJ) of Columbia, Steven (Krissy) of Great Falls, Ashleigh (Adrian) of Greenwood, Melissa (Brandon) of Gaffney, Christopher, Genevieve, Ethan, Cynthia, and Colton all from Great Falls. She also was blessed with nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Fleetwood (Kenny) and Barbara Payseur; and one brother, Johnny Hopkins (Kay). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Nick Hopkins and her aunt, Ruth Adams.

Services will be Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Second Baptist Church, 40 Center Street, Great Falls, SC, with Rev. Tommy Howell officiating.  Interment will be private. The family will receive visitors at the home until 6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agape Care of SC, 404 W. Meeting St., Lancaster, SC who took the best care of her.
