Great Falls Mrs. Linda Jean Garner Dewitt Kimmer, 71, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Springs Memorial Hospital.A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. Curtis Marshall and Rev. Jeffrey Hinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 1, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Kimmer was born April 22, 1943 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late James Garner and Maggie Pate Garner.She attended the schools ofChester County, SC and was formerly employed with J.P. Stevens Company and Springs Industries.Mrs. Kimmer was a member of Orrs Baptist Church in Chester. She is survived by her husband, Ray Kimmer; three daughters, Robin Hinson of Bethune, Carol Edwards and Johnnie Lynn Knight both of Great Falls; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Pat Pearson of Blackstock, Susan Baker of Great Falls, and Nancy Keenon of Salisbury, NC; and two brothers, Bobby Garner of Lowrys and Johnny Garner of Richburg.
