Linda Lathan Trent

Mrs. Linda Lathan Trent, 70, died Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Columbia Health Medical Center Downtown. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Marty Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Friday, May 12, 2023 at Dantzler Baker Funeral Home. Mrs. Trent was born October 21, 1952 in Lancaster, SC and was a daughter of the late Edward Julius Lathan and Virginia Beckham Williams. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School through the GED program and was employed for many years with JP Stevens and also worked for Standard Products, and was a licensed Real Estate Agent. Linda was an avid Carolina Gamecock Fan. She is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Norman P. Trent; two daughters, Tonya Vinson (Bryant) of Great Falls, SC and Christal Riddle (Jay) of Hillsboro, TN; five grandchildren, Madison Shaw (James “Hank”) of Richburg, SC, Kaley Trent of Lugoff, SC, Jayson Riddle of Hillsboro, TN, Paul “Hunter” Trent of Edgemoor, SC and Caitlin Bowers of Edgemoor SC; one sister, Diane Porter of Great Falls, SC; daughter-in-law Jennifer Trent of Edgemoor, SC and several nieces and nephews; In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Norman “Paul” Trent, Jr. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060 or Greenlawn Cemetery, Po Box 191, Great Falls, SC 29055.
