Lonnie William Gallman, Jr., 74, of Murrells Inlet, SC, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. He was born October 17, 1947 in Lancaster County, SC, son of Lonnie William Gallman Sr. and Vivian Jones Gallman. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Player Gallman of Murrells Inlet, SC; three children, Lonnie (Rocky) Gallman III (Amanda) of Lancaster, SC, Stephanie Roddey of Cassett, Charles Daniel Gallman of Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Kendra Hopkins; Jennifer Ardis( Jonathan), Angela Childress; Alyssa Paige Gallman; William Alexander Gallman; Dixie Marie Gallman; three great-grandchildren, Trenton Truesdale; Lillian Ardis, and Amelia Ardis.He also leaves a sister, Phyllis Gallman Jacobs; brother, Steven Gallman (Sheila) and many nephews and nieces. Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Gallman; and his grandmother, Rebecca Gallman; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jones; his favorite brother-in-law, Bud Jacobs; and a niece, Haley Gallman. Lonnie loved his church, family, and wood working.He was a man of faith who served as a deacon of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Great Falls, SC, and also at Gathering Community Church in Surfside Beach, SC.Lonnie loved the beach, riding his motorcycles and especially his beloved Gamecocks.He will be missed by his family and many friends A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church.
