Great Falls Mrs. Louise Wade Caldwell, 85, wife of Marion Caldwell, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Chester Regional Medical Center.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Rev. DougChambers and Rev. John Rumford officiating.Honorary pall bearers will be her bridge club friends. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 17, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Caldwell was born July 22, 1927 in Great Falls and was a daughter of the late George Earl Wade, Sr. and Eunice Grant Wade.She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1944, attended Winthrop College, and received her nurses training at Greenville General Hospital.She was formerly employed as a secretary at J.P. Stevens and also worked with Dr. Hollis P. Snead, Jr. at Great Falls Clinic.Mrs. Caldwell was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer, pianist, Sunday School teacher and on various committees.She was also a member of the Hebron Presbyterian Women’s Circle and the Friday Bridge Club. As a young girl in high school,Louise worked part time at Joe Francis Department Store.She took great pride in her wonderful childhood memories with her many friends and extended family members. In addition to her husband, Marion, of almost 50 years, she is survived by one son, Joseph Wade “Jody” Caldwell of Blackstock; two daughters, Mary Ann Caldwell Weir and husband Wally of Blackstock and Marian Elizabeth “Betsy” Nease of Blackstock; five grandchildren, Dakota Weir, Zack Weir, Patrick Nease, Lindsey Nease, and Ashlyn Nease; one sister, Mildred Wade Cooper of Panama City, Fla.; one brother-in-law, Robert Calvin Caldwell, Sr. of Winnsboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a brother, George Earl “Juncy” Wade.
