GREAT FALLS - Louise Shaw Goings, 81, of 40 Pine St. in Great Falls died Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at Lancaster Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, 1:00 PM, at First Baptist Church, Great Falls, SC with the Rev. Greg Batchelor officiating. Born April 21, 1928 in Lexington, NC,Mrs. Goings was the daughter of the late George Raymond Shaw and Cora Bell Gallimore Shaw. She retired from J.P. Stevens and later worked for the Catawba Health Department as a Personal Care Aide. Surviving are her husband, Julian "Junior" Goings, Jr., 1 son, Daryl Goings, Great Falls; 2 daughters, Wanda Gambrell, Ontario, Canada and Cathy Bell, Rock Hill, SC; 1 sister, Doris Cook, Mooresville, NC; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Goings and a brother, R.J. Shaw The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home in Great Falls.
