COLUMBIA Mrs. Mabel McElduff Gardner, 88, formerly of Great Falls, SC died Friday, September 2, 2011 at Agape Senior Hospice House in West Columbia, SC.A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Heath Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Toni White officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Born March 27, 1923 in Great Falls, SC, Mrs. Gardner was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Mary Gwin McElduff.She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and formerly employed with J.P. Stevens and Belk Department Store.She was a member of First Baptist Church of Great Falls where she taught Sunday School.She enjoyed gardening and sewing and was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Gardner was the widow of Elmer Lee Gardner, SR. She is survived by a son Elmer Lee Gardner, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Chester, SC; two daughters, Barbara Gardner of Columbia, SC and Annette Bonner and her husband Bob of Richmond Hill, GA; two grandchildren, Brian Gardner of Chester, SC and Lauren Poole of Lawrenceville, GA and numerous great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gale Gardner and two sisters, Helen Sneed and Louise Jordan.
