Great Falls: Maggie Denmark Roof, 96, died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at White Oak Manor, Lancaster, SC. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 19, 2011 at First Baptist Church, Great Falls with Reverend Greg Batchelor and Reverend Jeff Rollins officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Roof was born in Bulloch County, GA on June 25, 1915,a daughter of the late Hoyt Denmark and Ruth McElveen Denmark Ranies. She attended the schools of Bulloch County, GA, was a member of First Baptist Church, Great Falls, SC and was retired from J.P. Stevens as a battery filler. She is survived by two sons, Randall Roof and his wife Louvona of Fort Lawn, SC and Eugene Rollins and his wife Geraldine of Bulloch County, GA; one sister, Jeanette R. Hall of Enon, OH;four grandchildren,eleven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Greenlawn Cemetery Association, PO Box 191, Great Falls, SC 29055.
