Margaret Elaine Mitchell

Mrs. Margaret Elaine Croxton Mitchell, 75, died Sunday, December 31, 2023 at White Oak Manor in Lancaster, SC. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM, Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Mitford Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM also Wednesday, January 10 at Mitford Baptist Church. Mrs. Mitchell was born February 22, 1948 in Great Falls, SC and was a daughter of the late Fred N. Croxton and Nannie Lathan Croxton. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and was retired from Springs Memorial Hospital where she was a monitor Tech. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Mitford Baptist Church. She is survived by one son Billy Dean Mitchell, Jr. (Amie) of Great Falls, SC; four sisters, Myrtle Flowers of Great Falls, SC, Annette Shealy of Little Mountain, SC, Tina Trotter of Columbia, SC. and Vivian Hammons of Great Falls, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Mitchell, one sister, Lib Moss and one brother, Billy Ray Croxton.
