Margaret Jordan Pitmon

Margaret Jordan Pitmon, 83, daughter of the late John Cecil Jordan and Julia Dye Jordan and devoted wife of Robert E. Pitmon passed away January 3, 2024 at Atrium Health in Pineville, NC. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. J.D. Wilson And Rev. Grover Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Pitmon was born June 13, 1940 in Fairfield County, SC. Margaret’s career in banking spanned many years in Lancaster, SC. She enjoyed homemaking and country life. She was a devoted servant to her church and served for many years as Treasurer. Margaret truly missed her connections with her church, family and friends during her extended illness. She loved people and possessed the gifts of compassion and love. She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Pitmon; one son, Kenneth Pitmon of Denver, NC; a brother, John Dye Jordan (Dorothy) of Greer, SC; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a son, John Keith Pitmon. Memorials may be made to Mt.
