Marty Howard Morrison

Mr. Marty Howard Morrison, 61, died Sunday, February 12, 2023 at MUSC Lancaster Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday February 15, 2023 at the home of his brother Jody Morrison with Rev. Gary Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the home. Interment will be private. Mr. Morrison was born December 31, 1961 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Marion Harvey Morrison and Elizabeth Brown Morrison. He attended the schools of Great Falls where he was an accomplished weight lifter and ran track for Chester High School. He was owner and operator of Morrison Machinery in Great Falls, SC. Even though Marty was paralyzed at age 21 from an automobile accident he was determined to overcome many obstacles that came before him in life. Marty attended Church of the Nazarene and Second Baptist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Jessica Snipes (Michael) of Great Fall, SC, two brothers, David Morrison and Jody Morrison (Kay) both of Great Falls, SC; three grandchildren, Grace, Anna and Brady Snipes and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Randy Morrison.
