Great Falls Mrs. Mary Frances McKeown Black, 98, formerly of Oak St., died peacefully at the home of her daughter in Lancaster, Thursday, April 27, 2017.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at First Baptist Church with Rev.Thurmond Johnson, Dr. Jim McClure and Rev. Glen Ribelin officiating.The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM on Sunday, April 30, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Black was born August 25, 1918 in Blackstock, SC and was a daughter of the late John O’Neal McKeown and Margaret Gladden McKeown and the widow of Rufus Maddox “Beech” Black.She attended the schools of Rossville and Great Falls and retired from J.P. Stevens after 48 years of service.Mrs. Black was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Amelia Black Reeves of Lancaster and Lenora Black Riley (Ron) of Chester; seven grandchildren, Randal Black, Jr. (Kay), Beech Black, Mary Beth Reeves Gonzales (Carlos), Meredith Reeves Ribelin (Rusty), Melissa Frasier, Buster Finley, and Amy McCormick (Charles);twenty great grandchildren; and eightgreat-great grandchildren.In addition to her husband, Mrs. Black was preceded in death by a son, Mark Randal Black.
