Mary Franklin Rippy

Shelby, NC Mrs. Mary Franklin Rippy died Monday, September 19, 2022 at her home. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Roy Puckett officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery. Mrs. Rippy was born June 4, 1963 in Gastonia, NC and was a daughter of the late Joseph Franklin and Brenda Parker Franklin. She attended Ashley High School in Gastonia, NC and was previously employed with Phar Yarn as a weaver. She attended Church of God in Great Falls, SC. She is survived by one son, Johnny Paul Franklin (Lindsey) of Shelby, NC; four daughters, MaryAnn Lemmons (Joshua) of Mooresboro, NC, Tabitha Hullender of Kings Mountain, NC, Amy Short of Waco, NC and Brandy Whitworth (Don) of Cherryville, NC; four brothers, Steve Franklin (Jennifer) of Prosperity, SC, Jr. Franklin (Susan) of Rock Hill, SC, Joey Franklin (Kaye) of Ortonville, MI and Billy Franklin of Gilbert, SC; one sister, Tammy Jones of Newberry, SC and eleven grandchildren.
