Blackstock Mrs. Mary Doster Roof Taylor, 66, died Thursday, January 15, 2015, at the home of her daughter in Rock Hill.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Mitford Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Roberts officiating.Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Chester. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Friday, January 16, 2015, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Taylor was born May 6, 1948 in Chester County, SC.She attended the schools of Anderson and Chester Counties .She was a homemaker.Mrs. Taylor was a member of Mitford Baptist Church where she was a choir member, a Vacation Bible School worker, and an avid supporter of church mission trips. She is survived by two sons, William M. Roof (Christi) of Laurens and Joe Roof (Carolyn) of Great Falls; one daughter, Milisa Correll (Mike) of Rock Hill; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kirby Godbee and Tim Doster both of Blackstock ; and two sisters, Connie Caldwell of Great Falls and Charlotte Taylor (David) of Blackstock.Mrs. Taylor was twice widowed by first husband, William Thomas Roof and second husband, Jack Kenneth Taylor.
