Maxie Edward Eudy

Maxie Edward Eudy, 72, died Monday, January 19, 2026, at his home.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Mitford Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Roberts officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday at the church.  Interment will be private.

Born April 10, 1953 in Chester, he was a son of the late John Andy Eudy and Edna Inez Burchette Garland.  Maxie was a graduate of Great Falls High School and Horry-Georgetown Technical College.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during Vietnam.  He retired at 50 years of age from City of Lancaster as a Water Plant operator.  Maxie was an avid gardener and loved working in his yard. He loved fishing especially for crappie and catfish.  He also enjoyed duck hunting and kayaking and was involved in martial arts.  Maxie was a huge Clemson Tigers fan.

He is survived by his sister, Susan Mosley (Bruce) of Rock Hill; his brother, Joey Eudy of Great Falls, nieces, Meagan Eudy, Brooke Melton (Mike) and Brandi Griffin (Chris); and great nieces and nephews, Taylor, Emerson, Easton and Beckham.
