Kershaw Mrs. Melani Young Ray, 53, died on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at her home.A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC with Rev. Marty Roberts officiating.The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Thursday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Mrs. Ray was born September 25, 1962 in Nebraska and was a daughter of the late Larry Young and Mary Opal Young.She attended the schools of Brunswick, Georgia and was a homemaker.Mrs. Ray was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in the Buford community of SC. She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Ray; two sons, Joshua K. Hume of the home and Matthew Robert Ray (Jasmine Maria) of Lancaster; one daughter, Amber Nicole “Nikki” Smith of Kershaw; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Craig Young and Randy Young both of Brunswick, Ga.; and one sister, Michelle Tasciotti of Brunswick, Ga.
