Merry Gene "Genie" Fach

Merry Gene "Genie" Dawkins Fach, 66, died Sunday, April 6, 2025, at MUSC Lancaster Medical Center.  All services will be private.

Gene was born June 19, 1958 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late Eugene Darrigan Dawkins, Jr. and Mary Sue Gambrell Dawkins.  She was a graduate of Chester High School and SC Criminal Justice Academy.  Gene was an Administrative Assistant for the Head Magistrate of Chester County Magistrate System and formerly a Deputy Sheriff with Chester County Sheriff's Department.  Gene was also a chef with Radisson Resort and Morning Star Ministries,  She was a member of Shield of Faith in Rock Hill.

Gene is survived by her husband of over 29 years, Wayne D. Fach; four sons, Joshua C. Blanchett of Murrells Inlet, SC, Adam Blanchett (Holly) of Duncan, SC, James "Sonny" Dawkins (Viola) of Columbia, SC and Robert A. Fach (Tessa) of Charleston, SC; three daughters, Stefanie Christopher of California, Danielle Yacopino (Joe) of Fayetteville, NC and Denise Nunez (Eric) of Phoenix, AZ; and 14 grandchildren.
