Great Falls Mr. Michael Anthony Spires, 34, died on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. John David Wilson officiating.Interment will follow at 3:00 PM on Thursday in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Rd.in Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 31, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mr. Spires was born July 22, 1979 and was a son of Sharon Stokes Floyd and the late George Andrew Spires, Sr.He attended the schools of Great Falls. He is survived by one son, Josef Sebastian Spires of Bishopville; his mother and step-father, Sharon and Doug Floyd of Great Falls; one brother, George Andrew Spires of Columbia; two half-brothers, Brandon Spires and J.C. Spires both of Columbia; paternal grandmother, Catherine Brooks and step-grandfather of Columbia; and two step-brothers, Bryant D. Floyd of Walterboro and Jason W. Floyd of Rock Hill.
