Great Falls Mrs. Minnie McAbee Rigsby, 79, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at her home.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Grover Johnson and Rev. Jerry Phillips officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Rigsby was born in Gaffney, SC on April 24, 1932 and was a daughter of the late Alvin McAbee and Miller Ree McAbee.She attended the schools of Mitford, was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband of more than 57 years, Ethon Glenn Rigsby, one son, Danny Rigsby of Great Falls;one daughter, Glennett Godfrey and her husband Mike of Great Falls; one granddaughter, Glenda Godfrey Wyke and her husband Brian of Fort Mill, three sisters, Mary Knopf and Ruby Sellers both of Great Falls and Carolyn Griffin of Lancaster; four brothers, B.C. McAbee, George McAbee, Billy McAbee, and William McAbee all of Great Falls.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Catherine Rigsby and two brothers.
