Mozelle Towery Jones

Great Falls Mrs. Mozelle Towery Jones, 84, died Sunday, May 25, 2014, at her home.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 30, 2014, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Hovis and Rev. Greg Batchelor officiating.Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the home at 8 Maple St., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Jones was born June 21, 1929 in Appleton, Wisconsin and was a daughter of the late Ben Towery and Blanche Greene Towery.She attended the schools of Rutherfordton, NC and was retired from J.P. Stevens Company and later from Springs Industries.Mrs. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, a nursery worker, a member of the Sharing and Caring Committee, and was the overseer of the clothes closet. She is survived by three sons, Bill Jones, Dennis Jones (Cindy), and Gary Jones (Nancy) all of Great Falls; four daughters, Martha Hinson (Wayne) of Great Falls, Beth Mendenhall (Jeff) of Lake Wateree, Betty Wishert (Jim) of Blackstock, and Gaye(Robert Dennis) of Lowrys; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gene Towery of Davie, Florida, Dudley Towery of Forest City, NC., and Robert Towery of Monument, Colorado.Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Jones, a daughter, Bobbie Favero, a son, Randy Jones, and three brothers Herman Towery, Butch Towery, and Earl Towery.
