King, Wisconsin Mrs. Myrtis Brown Gigstead, 86, formerly of Great Falls, died February 14, 2013, in King, Wisconsin.A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 19, 2013, at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Blackmon officiating. Mrs. Gigstead was born November 7, 1926 in Great Falls and was a daughter of the late William and Edna Brown.After marriage, she made her home in the Fox Valley of Wisconsin.Myrtis enjoyed reading, needlework, and traveling, and was passionate about animals, especially her pet dogs.She worked for many years in retail and used her keen sense of fashion to design and sew doll clothes. She is survived by her husband of more than 68 years, Al Gigstead; one daughter, Enid Gigstead Kassien McNeely; granddaughters, Katherine Kassien Lenius and husband Joshua and Emily Hooverson and husband Erik; great-grandchildren, Henry and Elliott Hooverson; one brother, Roy Brown and wife Lucy; and two sisters, Doris Ellis and Bonnie Thomas and husband Jack, all residing in the southern U.S. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.dantzlerbakerfuneralhome.com
