Myrtis K. Stroud GREAT FALLS: Mrs. Myrtis Knight Stroud, 84,died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill, SC. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Heath Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Smoak and Rev. Donald Knight officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Mrs. Stroud was born October 15, 1924 in Lancaster County, SC, a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Fay Christine Blackman Knight.She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and a member of Heath Chapel United Methodist Church for over sixty years. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence E. Stroud; daughter, Judy Stroud of the home; sons, Dr. Larry Stroud and his wife Susan of Pendleton, SC and David Stroud of Greenville, SC; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Thompson of Jensen Beach, FL, Dot Murphy of Fairfax Station, VA, and Nancy Williams of Lancaster, SC; and brothers, Rev. Donald Knight of Kershaw, SC and Jack Knight of Wilmington, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 Friday in the church fellowship hall.
