Great Falls, SC: Myrtle Allison Smarr, 86, died Monday, September 06, 2010 at the residence of her son. A graveside service will be held 12:00 Noon Wednesday at Geenlawn Cemetery with Reverend James Lowry officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, Great Falls, SC. Born in Gaffney, SC on January 12, 1924, Mrs. Smarr was a daughter of the late Lawrence Allison and Daisy Coyle Allison. She attended the schools of Gaffney, SC and was retired from J.P.Stevens as a weaver. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church of Great Falls, SC and the widow of W.B.Smarr, Jr. She is survived by one son, Ronnie Smarr and his wife Gail; one grandson, Brooks Smarr and his wife Tonya and one great-granddaughter, Emilee Smarr all of Great Falls, SC; one brother Lawrence Allison and his wife Brenda of Gaffney, SC and one sister, Doris Mathis of Lexington, SC.Mrs. Smarr was preceded in death by a sister Louise Crocker.
