Nadine Gladden Sutherland

Nadine Gladden Sutherland, 81, died Friday, September 12, 2025, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Lake Wateree Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Morrison officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church.

Born August 2, 1944 in Chester County, SC, Nadine was a daughter of the late Claude Lee Gladden and Janie Evelyn Catledge Gladden. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and retired as a cafeteria worker with Fairfield County Schools.  Nadine was a member of Lake Wateree Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, William "Bill" Sutherland; one daughter, Sylvia McDaniel (Wayne) of Strawberry Plains, TN; two sons, Billy Sutherland (Helen Gabrail) of Hilton Head, SC and Barry Sutherland (Missy Hendrix) of Great Falls, SC; her grandchildren, Kim Corn (James), Shannon Thompson (Brendan), Tyler McDaniel (Whitney), Madison Mussard (Chase), Carolina Sutherland and Miranda Sutherland; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Pauley of Winnsboro, SC; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Lake Wateree Baptist Church, 5856 River Rd., Ridgeway, SC 29130.
