Nancy Ann Carpenter

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of  Nancy G. Carpenter who peacefully left this world on December 21, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Great Falls Presbyterian Church.  Interment will be private.  The family will receive friends in the social hall following the service.

Nancy was born in Charlotte NC on March 20, 1937 and was a daughter of the late  Anon John Galloway and Dora Souther Galloway. She attended UNC Greensboro, formally known as The Women's College of NC.  Nancy married Donald Carpenter on Oct 11, 1958. They were married until his death in 2005. She married Daniel Peach on November 8, 2014. Nancy was previously employed by Hoechst Celanese/Clariant.

She especially loved Christmas, decorating her home, Gamecock Football and above all, her family. She also enjoyed sitting in her happy place, her screened in porch, with Dan sipping on an adult  beverage and listening to music. Nancy was a member of  Great Falls Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and the church secretary. She served on Chester County Natural Gas board for 19 years.

Nancy is survived by her spouse, Dan; children, Scott Carpenter (Sandy), Donna Connors (Richard) and Kim Carpenter (Bobby); step children, Mandy and Trey Peach; grandchildren, Jason and Laura Connors, Kristin Plyler (Logan)  and Katie Carpenter; step grandchildren, Beth Rodriguez, Allison Manning and Ross and Hope Maiden; great grandson, John Paul Plyler; and step great grandchildren, Logan Manning and Landon and Ava Rodriguez

In addition to her husband and parents, Nancy was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Nancy to Great Falls Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 466, Great Falls, SC 29055.
