Great Falls Mrs. Nancy Coan McManus, 71, died Monday, January 1, 2018, at her home.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 5, 2018, at Mitford Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Roberts officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday at Mitford Baptist Church. Mrs. McManus was born January 19, 1946 in Concord, NC and was a daughter of the late Thomas Coan and Margaret Price Coan.She was a graduate of the schools of Great Falls.She was formerly employed by Eberts Sportswear as a supervisor and later at Winnsboro Petroleum as a cashier..Mrs. McManus was a member of Mitford Baptist Church where she served with the WMU, was a nursery caregiver and helped with VBS. She is survived by one son, Thomas “Tony” McManus (Leighann) of Catawba; one daughter, Vicki Neely (Geoff) of Edgemoor; two stepdaughters, Ginger Steele (David) of Lancaster and Tammy Salay (Richard) of Rock Hill; and one sister, Brenda Chavis of Fort Mill.Mrs. McManus was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Johnny Marion “Buddy” McManus and a son Johnny “Bubba” McManus, II.
