Blackstock Mrs. Patricia Flegel Bankhead, 78, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Pruitt Health in Rock Hill.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 24, 2018, at Hebron Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jim Williams and Rev. Marvin Tennant officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 1:00 Pm to 2:00 PM on Friday at Hebron Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Bankhead was born September 10, 1939 in Williamsburg County, SC and was a daughter of the late Martin W. Flegel and Mary Myrtle McCants Flegel.She was a graduate of Williamsburg High School and York Tech.Mrs. Bankhead was a retired kindergarten teacher, a Presbyterian minister and she served as Head Elder of Christian Assembly Worship Center in Lancaster.She was a member of the Great Falls Garden Club and a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one daughter, Judith Bankhead of Blackstock, one step son, Karl Johnson (Ann Marie) of Heath Springs; three grandchildren, Garrett Borgaro (Courtney) of Blackstock, Kelly Blackmon of Heath Springs and Clay Johnson (Casey) of Monroe, Georgia; five great grandchildren; one brother, Martin “Ponnie” Flegel (Donna) of Cocoa, Florida; one sister, Hazel Pou (Shelby) of Andrews, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.Mrs. Bankhead was preceded in death by her husband, Karl M. Bankhead; two sisters, Mary Lambert and Beatrice Platt; and a brother, Charles Flegel.
