Rock Hill Mrs. Patricia Ann “Pat” Dantzler Ferrell, 77, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Great Falls with Rev. Marty Roberts and Mr. D.V. Lewis officiating.Entombment will follow in Grand View Memorial Park in Rock Hill.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Friday, July 14, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Ferrell was born March 1, 1940 in Great Falls and was a daughter of the late Richard M. “Dick” Dantzler and Alberta Parker Dantzler.She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and Winthrop University. She retired after 30 years as an art teacher having established an art program in the Great Falls schools.While teaching in Kingsport, Tennessee she received the “Most Outstanding First Year Teacher” award.Mrs. Ferrell was a member of West End Baptist Church of Rock Hill. She is survived by her husband, Richard H. Ferrell; two daughters, Julie Ferrell (Billy Ellis) of Rock Hill and Leigh Ann McManus (Tony) of Catawba; six grandchildren, Mallory and Alex Hedlund, Richie, Scotty and Justin McManus, and Zeke Ellis; two great grandchildren, Madelyn and Scotty McManus.She was preceded in death by a sister, Harriet Dantzler Ameen and her stepmother, Evelyn Mahaffey Dantzler.
