Great Falls Mr. Paul Jefferson Blocker, 65, died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster, SC.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Great Falls Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Henry Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Great Falls, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mr. Blocker was born on June 4, 1949 in Charleston, SC. He was a son of the late Charles Taylor Blocker and Elizabeth Wiggins Blocker. He attended the schools of North Charleston, was retired from Superior Essex in Chester, SC, and was a member of Great Falls Church of the Nazarene.Mr. Blocker enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Blocker is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Virginia Blocker; one daughter, Melissa B. Hood (Michael) and two grandchildren, Nick Hood and Addison Hood all of Great Falls, SC;one sister, Katherine B. Brown (Jim) of North Charleston, SC; and one niece, Melody Brown of Summerville, SC.
