Great Falls Mr. Paul Aaron Tyson, Sr., 81, died Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Springs Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Grover Johnson officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 19, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mr. Tyson was born October 19, 1931 in Union County, NC and was a son of the late William Bogan Tyson and Naomi Green Tyson.He attended the schools of Great Falls and retired from J.P. Stevens Company and Grand Central Truck Stop. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Mitchell Tyson; one son, Paul A. Tyson, Jr. of Quincy, Illinois; three granddaughters, Nicole Lawhorn, Elisabeth Rockhold and Erica Rockhold; three grandsons, Aaron Tyson, Evan Rockhold, and Ethan Rockhold; three great-granddaughters; and one sister, Vivian T. Gainey of Fort Lawn, SC.He was preceded in death by three brothers, John and Jack Tyson and Gudger Sumners; and five sisters, Sue Jones, Doris Jackson, Aileen Stroud, Ethel Sumners, and Bonnie McIver.
