Chester Mr. Phillip Thomas Gregory, 49, died Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Prisma Health Richland. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Uriel Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Bishop David Levister officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening, January 8, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Great Falls Rescue Squad building. Mr. Gregory was born May 9, 1971 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Ralph Edward Gregory and Delores Ashley Gregory.He was a graduate of Great Falls High School class of 1989 and Midlands Technical College.Phil was a paramedic serving with Chester County for 38 years since the age of 11 when he began serving with the Jr. Rescue Squad.He attended Uriel Presbyterian Church.Phil was a natural giver and devoted his life to serving others. He is survived by his wife, Darla Beckwith Gregory; one daughter, Baylee Covington (Tyler) of Fort Lawn; one stepson, Jamie Hudson (fiancé, Ashley) of York; one stepdaughter, Lauren Boatwright (Gary) of Fort Mill, his birth father, Floyd “Skipper” Ruff of Great Falls; five grandchildren, Easton Thompson, Ashley Campbell, Gracelynn Boatwright, Jay Hudson and Maci Boatwright; one sister, Ashley Longhouser (Adam) of Newberry; two brothers, Mike Ruff and Rusty Ruff both of Great Falls and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Krystle Ruff.
